Last evening (March 19th) I finally managed to photograph the comet in true color. Despite numerous clouds I was able to take several 10 sec. exposures in R, G and B filters. Due to the twilight conditions and the passing clouds, extracting flat frames wasn't possible, thus some gradient resides in the image.
Interesting is the small spike barely visible at the right of the comet's nuclei. It can be seen better on the magnified crop from the stacked R-channel image:
