Comet C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS)

This evening the conditions were much more favorable, thus I imaged the comet in 1 x 1 binning. Nevertheless the twilight and the first quarter Moon didn’t allow again subtracting a flat frame, thus a gradient is still present in the image. The small spike at the right of the comet nuclei was visible again, even maybe a little bit better than yesterday (see the magnified R-channel crop below): |
