Properly speacking, IC 5146 refersto the star cluster and Sh2-125 to the nebula. The dark nebula Barnard 168 (B168, or LDN 1055) forms a dark lane that surrounds the cluster and projects westward (leftward on the image), forming the appearance of a trail behind the Cocoon.Van den Bergh 147 (VdB 147)is the small reflection nebula just to the left the Cocoon.
