M 41
Messier 41 (also catalogued as NGC 2287) is an open cluster in the constellation Canis Major, about four degrees south of Sirius. It contains about 100 stars scattered in space at 25 light years. Its age is estimated to be between 200 and 240 million years. You can see also wider field image of M 41 . This image is taken remotely from the remote controlled IRIDA Observatory . |
