Sh2-170 (Small Rosette Nebula)
Located close to the much more prominent NGC 7822, this small Sharpless object is not a common imaging target out there these days. Sh 2-170 is in the vicinity of the Cas OB5 supershell and about 10 000 l.y. away. The only exciting star of Sh 2-170 is DM+63 2093, which is a massive (about 30 solar masses) O8 V star. |
